Vintage Mother of Pearl Purse 1950s Clam Shell Tile Case Gold Tone Metal Hinge Box Purse Seashell shops Art Oval Case Sling Purse Compact Clutch

This is an absolutely STUNNING clam shell style box purse made of Mother of Pearl tiles, made sometime in the mid century. It is unclear if this was originally intended to be a purse -- the previous owner added the gold string/sling to wear over the shoulder. The string could be removed easily to repurpose as a small case. It is made of real Mother of Pearl, tiled together in an round/oval box shape. It has a gold tone metal hinge and clasp. The inside is line with soft, black material with a felt-like finish.

It is in overall great condition! Hinge and closure works shops great. No missing tiles or damage to the case.

The purse measures approximately 7.5 x 4 inches.
