Vintage Coral Bead Necklace and Flower Earrings Blush Pink 14k and 18k shops clasps Hand Knotted

Vintage Blush Pink Coral Bead Necklace and coordinating Flower Clip Earrings were purchased in an auction lot with other jewelry from the 1970s.

Necklace measures 23 inches long and is designed with hand- knotted 8 mm pale pink blush Coral beads. Knotting fiber is probably silk. Beads are slightly unequal in roundness, which is typical of hand carved stone or coral beads. The single strand of beads terminates in a filigree clasp. Clasp marked 14KG.

Coordinating pale pink blush coral floral earrings measure 5/8 inches across. Secure working clips are marked 750 on one of them. The other has a mark that I cannot read well but may be an Asian mark or it may say 18K The mark 750 denotes 18k gold.

I tested both the 18k gold clips and the 14k gold filigree clasp with a Puritest Acid Test solution to confirm. Under the loupe, beads and the earrings show striations that occur naturally and are free of bubbles that indicate these are not manmade materials such as plastic. They didn't melt with a hot needle test either.

Rated Good to Very Good vintage condition. The beads have some dulling near the clasp that is indicative of handling, age and use. The earring clip mechanisms have signs of scuffing and use visible under a loupe.
