Shops Handmade mixed media art old book cover Anatomy 3D diorama shadowbox

This is an OOAK mixed media shadowbox, made of an old book cover.

I have planted a cardboard box with glass inside the book,
and cut the cover of the book. It's embellished with some
black lace and metal corners, among a title frame.

Notice that the oval glass used here is old and a bit
timeworn. It's also slightly convex.

The book cover was for a German gynecology book,
so I decided to make this diorama for anatomy subject.

There's botanical backround, and I have printed
an anatomy model of a female body.

This book measures 27 x 18 x 4 cm
Weight: 523g.

This box stands free, but
for wall mounting, by a plate rack.

This shops diorama is in shabby condition,
as was the cover and glass originally.
