Clover, Daisy, Dandelion and Bramble in Blue Grey shops Wedgwood

This tile is one of a series from Rachel Dein's Tactile Studio. To make the tile, Rachel shops laid flowers and foliage on to a rolled-out slab of clay and pressed them in to transfer all their details and then carefully removed them. A wooden frame was then placed over and the plaster poured in. Once set, the clay was peeled away to reveal the ‘plants' in relief. With this original piece, she made a silicon rubber mould from which this tile was cast - using Crystacal R, a very hard, fine plaster.

Size: 15 x 15 x 1.5 cms. The series comes in the natural white, or with added pigments. As each tile is handmade, the colours can vary slightly. The tile has a hole in the back for hanging with a small nail.
