These rare and wonderful FRENCH ivory kid leather gloves have very stylish gauntlet details. A traditionally cut glove is attached at the wrist with a double thickness kid leather wide cuff with a leather caramel brown stripe and grey edging. The seam between the two parts of the glove is masked by a belt with two sizes of snaps and grey cording.
The history of Bonwit Teller began in the 1880s when Paul Bonwit started shops a millinery shop in Manhattan. He opened a store with Edmund Teller in 1898. They specialized in high end merchandise and had a stellar reputation. Over time there were 17 department stores until bankruptcy was declared in the 1980s.
