Rocky Butte shops Jasper and Leather cuff

Rocky Butte Jasper is quickly becoming one of my favorite stones to work with! I was lucky enough to be able to go rockhound at the Rocky Butte Mine with my best friend this spring and bring home my finds! We camped the night before and woke super early to be the first ones out at the site. It paid off because we both came home with some incredible stones, including this one. I cut and shaped this piece on the rock saw, then tumble polished it for 5 weeks. I wanted to make something a little different, so I came up with this stone and leather cuff idea. It is totally adjustable to any sized wrist, and the leather can be shops easily cut shorter when the desired length is met! The backing is two brackets that the leather can feed in and out of very easily. If the band gets too loose, it's very easy to clamp them down a bit so it does not move. I love this piece and hope to make more very soon!
