This is a large statement choker length necklace. The pendant is cast, gold plated open work with several tiny faux pearls surrounding the large, 1 inch carved antler skull. The setting is cast metal that has a bright, gold plated finish with twelve 1/8 inch faux pearls set around filigree work in the frame of the pendant, which is from around 1960 with the contemporary antler skull added. It measures 1.5 x 1.25 inches and sticks out 1 inch. The large Gothic pendant hangs from a 16 inch, choker length thick linked rope chain. The links are heavy, thick and textured. The spring clasp is original to the necklace.

The skull is carved out of North American moose antler. It is hand carved which much attention to detail, including sutures and teeth. It is contemporary and has been added to this vintage necklace, which is marked," Florenza", a high end costume jeweler from 1940 to 1980.
