A traditional bowl style was used to hand turn the pictured cherry bowl. The wood used for the making of the bowl is salvaged Virginia cherry, one of a kind created by Mother Nature to be used as a decorative display, a fruit bowl, a salad bowl, or a serving bowl.

The bowl shown in the picture is the one shops you will receive. The finish is food grade coconut oil and rice bran wax. Wooden bowls may darken with age and use.

All our bowls are hand turned from salvaged wood and allowed to dry for multiple months. They are finished using 120, 220, 400, 600 grit sand paper followed by a treatment with coconut oil and rice bran wax.

Wooden bowls should only be washed by hand. DO NOT use a dishwasher. Never leave in standing water. Hand wash using hot water and antibacterial soap. You may air or hand dry. Oil as needed.
