The big island of Hawaii has one of the largest working cattle ranches in America, and I've always enjoyed the idea of a tropical cowboy. This old fencing would easily look at home in Wyoming. What you can't see, is the surfboard just off to the side.

About the process:

My work begins with a photograph taken on my travels as I explore the world. I work with them to create a digital collage, then print using a special process that allows me to transfer the image to another surface that I've also hand-made.
