This paper lantern were hung from the eaves during "obon" season, middle August, when people believe deceased ancestors return from after life. This lanterns helps them to find their home.
Thus this lantern has both the family crest and name of the family in calligraphy.

Paper lanterns are made of bamboo and papers and foldable.

Some tears and stains on paper. There is no major damage that would make it problematic to use.
