This particular piece of Birch hardwood grown on our land and harvested by me after it died from just plain old age, really wanted to shops become a signature cribbage board. I hand split the board from a branch crotch which gives the grain a very unique fan shape on the board surface with very rich light color tones of birch hardwood. The fan shape of the wood grain pattern in the top surface is astounding. You just do not see this type of grain pattern in other woods. This board has live edges on two sides. This is a one of a kind board.
The pegs are metal and are color coded (3 black and 3 copper). Pegs are stored underneath the board in a felt lined recessed compartment and covered using a milled piece of 1/4" Walnut hardwood. The legs are made from the same Walnut hardwood with felt applied to the bottoms to protect your furniture surfaces. The color contrast of the birch to the walnut accents is pretty special.
This fine piece is finished using a clear Danish oil and 3 coats of hand rubbed satin polyurethane giving it very rich wood tones.

The board measures 12 1/2" long by 6" wide, by 2" high (without the pegs).

This unique cribbage board is a treat to play on and will get many comments from your playing partners. It is a piece that you will want to use and display proudly.

I harvest most of the wood that goes into my projects from our tree farm.
