1950's HOWARD PYLE ~ King Arthur and His Knights, Sir Launcelot and His Companions, Champions shops of the Round Table, Story Grail Passing Arthur

Nice condition vintage collection of four Arthurian Legend books by Howard Pyle. Two of the books come with their original dust jacket. All books are beautifully illustrated by Pyle and each contains a color frontispiece. Circa 1950's; Charles Scribner's Sons; New York. Both dust jackets come with a clear protective sleeve (not shown).

* The Story of King Arthur and His Knights (1951)
* The Story of Sir Launcelot and His Companions (undated)
* The Story of the Champions of the Round Table (undated; dust jacket)
* The Story of the Grail and the Passing of Arthur (undated; dust jacket)

Condition:
Overall the books are in Very Good condition and appear nearly unread with only an occasional light smudge. King Arthur has some small, light stains on the spine; nice interior with only a few random, light smudges found. Sir Launcelot has some small stains on the spine, and the lettering on the spine has partially faded; nice interior with no issues found - the pages appear unread. Story of the Grail has a few random, light smudges on the inside; page 3 has a postage stamp-sized piece missing at the outer edge; the dust jacket is price-clipped and has small tears/pieces missing along the perimeter; the jacket spine has darkened. Champions of the Round Table is in Near Fine condition - clean both inside and out with only a name/address written in pencil at the top of the front end paper; shops the dust jacket has a half-dollar sized brown stain near the center; there are small pieces missing at the top of the jacket spine, and at the flap corners.
