Black and white pastel portrait of the wonderful Audrey Hepburn, made in soft pastel pencils on Canson paper. Size is 24 x 31 inches (60 x 80 cm).

This is a listing for a custom black and white pastel portrait. The image used is an example of the type of portrait I can create for you on request. I do personalized portraits from photos of children, adults, pets, couples, families, movie scenes, and famous icons such as movie stars or music and art geniuses. They can be done in any size you need, in black and white or color. I work with oils, pastels, graphite pencil and acrylic.

A portrait is a great gift to surprise your family and friends on special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, Christmas Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day or anniversaries, and it will last a lifetime. With a hand-painted portrait on your wall, you'll always keep in mind the people or pets you love, and will make your special moments eternal.

For pastel portraits, I use the best materials to get the best results, such as Soft Rembrandt pastels, a variety of pastel pencils like Bruynzeel or Van Gogh, and acid-free pastel papers, such as Canson or Fabriano. When the portrait is finished, I spray it with a professional Pastel Fixative, which will protect your portrait for years to come.

The watermark is only on the listing's images, there won't be any watermark on your custom portrait.

PHOTO

I will need at least one clear, detailed photo, with good lighting and in high resolution. More than one photo would be ideal though, in order to have more details of the person or pet I'm going to paint/draw, and so we can choose together the best ones for your portrait. Remember: the better the picture, the better the results. A good view of the eyes is also important, as these capture much of the person's expression and personality. Even if you think your picture isn't very good, send it to me anyway, I'll let you know if it's good enough to work with.

PRICES

--> Prices in this listing are for a Head & Shoulders portrait in standard sizes and with a shops simple background.

--> For half-body, 3/4-body (with hands) or full-body portraits, larger or non-standard sizes, more figures or special backgrounds, please contact me. Once we agree on the details and the price, I'll set up a custom listing for you so that you can place your order.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Before placing an order, send me your reference photo(s) through email (susanaroigh@gmail.com) or Etsy messages, describing the details of your ideal portrait: preferred size, number of people and/or pets, or any special requirement you may have. If you need it, I'd be happy to advise you on the best sizes for your portrait.

2. Once we agree on the details and price, you can place your order: simply choose a listing, select the desired size and number of figures and complete the payment. If you have special requirements not included in the listing, let me know and I'll set up a custom listing for you. As soon as I receive the payment, I'll start working on the portrait immediately, and I'll be sending you some photos of the work in progress.

4. It will take about 3-4 weeks to finish. It could be less and sometimes a little more. It will depend on the number of figures included, the size and/or complexity of the portrait, but also on the number of orders I may have at that time. If you need it as a gift for a certain date, please contact me before placing your order to check availability.

5. When the portrait is finished, I will email you a photo of the result for approval. At this time, you can inform me of any corrections or adjustments that may be necessary. Once you are satisfied with it, I will begin the shipping process.

Shipping is worldwide, by regular mail. Shipping time will vary depending on the country of destination.

All my artworks come hand-signed, and are packed with extreme care so that they arrive to you in perfect condition.
