Stunning embroidered Pelmet/valance made in Italy circa 1940 with a gorgeous cream white on white hand embroidered eyelet border and Gros Point de Venise middle section. In MINT condition!

This piece is beautiful with heavy high-end ivory/cream white linen, exquisite white embroidery and pulled threads. Ideal for any Victorian, French Country, Shabby chic or traditional décor. This would make a beautiful solid valance when mounted on a wood frame or it could be fixed with a rod to drape on top of a window. Gifted to a new bride in 1940 Italy, it was never used but lovingly stored for over 70 years - yet shows no sign of its age. A rare find indeed!

Measures: 105 X 31 inches, middle point de Venise lace is 28 X 18 inches.
The border of Eyelet embroidery is 4.5 inches.
Colour is antique white - a cream white or French white rather than brilliant white.
