Handcrafted Pen Bocote Olive shops Wood Twist Refill

Bocote is an exotic wood sourced from Central and South America. The natural look of the wood grain and coloring remind many of tiger or zebra type stripes. Bocote is one of the more difficult woods to work with because it's strength can significantly dull your tools. It's qualities are often reserved for only the finest of products by master craftsmen.

For our pen, we took a bocote plank and made a shops cut at a proprietary angle in order to achieve the most uncommon grain patterns. From this, our teenage entrepreneur designed and produced the exceptional writing tool you see.

The unique center band has been crafted from olive wood and replaces the narrow metal band normally found in the center of this pen style. It lends a much greater heft and significant feel to the pen in the hand.

This is hand polished to the finest luster and has an exquisitely smooth and balanced feel in the hand.

A dozen of these were made to precisely similar specifications.

10 of these were provided to a boutique pen shop in Tillburg Netherlands called La Couronne du Comte, which incidentally provides quality writing instruments to the Dutch royal palace.
