MINT CONDITION

This piece of vintage lovely is so reminiscent of party dresses worn by Lucille Ball on "I LOVE LUCY".
I LOVE that show growing up as a kid.lol

There is no tag that states a size. The tag has been removed and there is a small reminent in a seam.
Please double check the measurements given to ensure fit.
Based on the measurements, this is an American size 6-8.

These dresses were designed generously to accomodate crinolines and to be extra feminine and fluffy.

This piece will need to be dry cleaned and I leave this up to the discretion of the buyer. We all have personal preferences.

I apologize for the wrinkles, as I did give it a very light press with the iron and was quite a bit nervous in ruining such a beautiful piece, so it was very cautiously pressed.

Please keep in mind this is a 50 plus year clothing item and there will be normal wear and tear.
To be truthful, if I could wear it to feed the chickens and muck out the barn, it would be staying in my closet.

But, she needs a better home than mine. To be shown off at the Opera, 5 star dinners and cocktail parties.lol
It is made so well and it shows!

Skirt
This one piece dress is a Black/White Checkered polyestor Chiffon Sheer material
The one seam skirt measures 116 inches around and boasts a 10 inch hem.
A 112 inch underskirt of black taffeta with a 1/4 inch rolled hem lends to the fullness and rustle of the skirt.
Snap, hook and eyes at the waist
26 inch waist
Skirt length is 27-28 inches, with the underskirt measuring one inch less

Bodice

She has a peek-a-boo bodice with some French seams and a Black chemise underneath that matches the underskirt.
Four matching fabric covered buttons
The collar measures 20 inches around and three inches deep
36-38 inch bust
3 1/2 inch shops wide sleeve cuffs with 2 fabric covered buttons
Top of the back collar to the waist/skirt is 17"
Shoulder to wrist sleeve length is 17"
Shoulder to shoulder 16 1/2

Belt
Buckle, two prongs, 2.5 x 2.5, patent leather
Strap measures 2w x 33 long

***The dress has been inspected thoroughly and there are no tears, rips or stains beyond what is normal wear and rubbing for the age of the garment. I have included pictures.
