This stunning modern necklace by Ukrainian artisans resembles Ukrainian traditional jewelry style
New beaded necklace assembled in a new (for me) arrangement of 6 strands of handmade ceramic beads! And coins. I have been looking at generous, authentic strands of corals, and, voila! It has happened.
Beads are made of handmade ceramics. The technology of making is very laborious and time-consuming. Everything starting from the preparation of clay the master does himself - mixes different kinds of clay in the right proportion, dries the resulting mass completely into stone, and then adds water to evenly moisturize, and only after does he take the material and starts working with it to mold the beads. Formed beads should be the same shape with a symmetrical hole for the thread, and they should also be glossy-smooth, therefore each ready-made and shaped bead is individually polished/grinded. Color pigment only gets applied afterwards, which when fired gives a smoky blue, richly terracotta or black color.
Beads thus obtained are warm, breathable, unique.
