1940s Vintage Ticking Fabric shops Warm Yellow Floral Damask Cotton RARE Treasure

Delicious vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in yellow-orange color. It is a European damask fabric from around the 60s. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is a medium weight cotton. Perfect textile for decoration projects, cushions, bags, etc. Simple bunches of heart-shaped leaves are dotted all over the fabric, along with tiny little flowers.

WIDTH: 86 cm. ( 33 in. )
HEIGHT: 134 cm. ( 52 in. )

CONDITION:
Good condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Original color. Minimal scuffing or surface wear towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Beautiful hand sewn back patches. Very large piece that can be very well used. This fabric is freshly laundered and ready to use! The upper right corner is slightly irregular.

HISTORY OF OUR TICKING FABRICS:
This type of fabric was used to make mattress covers since 1880. The motifs used are very varied: floral, oriental, country, palatial, or striped and the colors very bright. These fabrics were produced from 1882 to 1980 in the Area of Igualada, known for its textile industry. We have a collection of over 200 of these unique fabrics. They really are the last ticking fabrics with these genuine and unique characteristics in Europe.
