Ol' Hingy - Barn Beam shops End Table

This is Ol'Hingy, stained with three coats of lacquer to give it a rich colour. He is 18 inches high, 9 ½ inches wide, and 7 ½ inches in depth.

He doesn't like long walks – her likes to hold your preferred beverage at the end of a long day. He enjoys a quite night but can also be the life of the party, but remember at the end of the day he is still Ol'Hingy and is set in his ways. He is over 100 years old.

This Barn Beam End Table is from the Millgrove shops Collection, which consists of over 40 different pieces from one Barn in Millgrove Ontario.

All the beams were hand hew, which means someone used an axe to give them their shape back in the early 1900s. They are all made from reclaimed/recycled wood that was milled at the local Millgrove mill. Once the beams were milled the exterior layers was sanded off to bring out the grain and original colour, before putting on the finish.

You can see the marks on the sides of the beams. Each piece is one of a kind and unique in its own way. When The Boers Wood Shop purchases the full beams we look for beams with a lot of character and notches.
