Staurolite- is a chemically complex hydrous oxide of aluminum, iron, magnesium and zinc. shops In black or red-brown, its characterized most often by cruciform twins, though it can occur as single crystals. It is colored a light tan to dark brown, and forms in flat, pencil-like tabbie crystals. The 90 degree Greek Cross and the 60 degree St. Andrew's cross shapes of Staurolite are most prized for luck and spiritual values.
