Set of five color coordinated, extremely soft Merino-Tencel yarn skeins suitable for the Westknits Mystery Knitalong 2022:

- 2 skeins "Teal Tourmaline"
- 1 skein "Blue Celestite"


ROOTED MERINO
Rooted Merino gets its name from the blend of extra fine merino wool and Tencel. Tencel is made from eucalyptus and belongs to Lycocell. The eucalyptus comes from France and is processed for the raw yarns in Austria. The sheep are kept without mulesing.

The yarn is extremely soft and is perfect for shawls and scarves. The Tencel gives the yarn a great shimmer and makes it robust enough to be used for socks, at the same time.

Material: 60 % Wool (Merino, super-wash), 40 % Tencel

Yarn weight: 4ply / Fingering / Sock
Length: ca. 400m / 100g; the set is containing 500g in total
Needle size: 2,5 – 3mm

GENERAL NOTES
Each skein of Heathland Knits' yarn is either kettle dyed by hand or hand painted in small batches. This means that each skein is unique in itself and there are no color batches / dye lots. Two skeins of one color will therefore always differ slightly, but the general color composition is the same. When working with more than one strand, it is recommended to alternate the individual skeins.

Heathland Knits has no business relation with Westknits.

We recommend hand washing with a mild wool detergent for hand-dyed yarns. Colors may still "bleed" during the first few washes. Especially dark colors are best washed separately or tested on a swatch beforehand. Intensive rubbing and wringing should be avoided. Instead, gently squeeze the water out of the finished piece with your hands and then roll it up a clean towel. The towel will absorb the excess moisture. It is best to lay flat or block to dry.
