Mardi Gras Mojo! ALL antique (1930s) glass Mardi Gras shops beadsl 7 Full Strands! 001712

This necklace is composed entirely of collectible antique Czechoslovakian Glass Mardi Gras beads. I hoarded a pile of these in the late 80s and early 90s when Mardi Gras was kind of my yearly photographic pilgrimage away from my 70-hr a week job in Educational Publishing. So these beads carry some real Carnival mojo!

The shopkeepers informed me that the beads dated back to the 1910s to 1930s, but when eyeglasses became more common the parades had to switch from glass beads to plastic to avoid impact injury from glass beads hitting eye-glasses.

The shortest strand of the 7 strands is about 20.5 inches long; the longest is about 29.5 inches.

This necklace is part of my Artisan Collection and is a one-of-a-kind expression; this is the only one of this design that I will create so you are guaranteed a unique piece! shops
