Description:

Have you ever loved cookies so much that you wanted to wear one on your head? This hat will fulfill that fantasy but with 1940's class. It's made of an ultra fine weave straw in beige and is decorated in brown pieces of rolled grosgrain ribbon. It secures to the head with a wide ribbon elastic and sports a label that reads: Madame P. Benoit Hull Quebec. Proper Canadian hat!


Condition:

This hat is in good vintage condition. There is a faint orange mark on the hat where I believe one of the ribbon rolls used to be but is no longer with us. You can see it in the second to last photo. For some reason one of the ribbon rolls at the front of the crown is navy blue instead of brown. I can't explain that other than 1940s quirkiness at work! There is also a faint area of what looks like watermark to the back brim. It's really not that noticeable. This hat presents beautifully and the attaching elastic is strong.


Measurements:

This hat would work for a variety of head sizes from small to extra large. It is not intended to "fit" your head as much as perch on top of your head so my fellow big headed sisters, this hat should work for you. I have a 23 inch head and it works just fine for me!

It measures 15 by 14 inches.
