1950s dress vintage early 60s DRAPED BACK shops BLACK designer cocktail dress

This stunning dress has all the hallmarks of a late 1950s, early 60s high end designer dress, but the only label that remains is the “Blum's shops Vogue Chicago” store label. The dress is a luxe thicker silk blend? Matte rayon that drapes beautifully. It's very soft and lush feeling. The dress is finely tailored with inner petersham ribbon waist, sewn down interfacing, and the draped in back is sewn so it lays perfectly as well.

The dress as a V neckline in front with slight formed cap sleeves and a center bodice seam. The bust is fitted with ruching from the sides. The waist is seamed and has an attached tie sash. The skirt extends from there with subtle gathers into the waist.

The dres is completely lined in silky fabric and closes with a side nylon zipper plus hook and eye. I have shown a photo of the inside bodice, it's a bit hard to explain! :)
