Arhuaca backpack or tutu iku in ika is a clothing item of the Arhuaca ethnic group and one of the most important handicrafts in Colombia. It is a fabric of sheep wool, cotton, fique or industrial wool, made by the gwati (women of the ethnic group) since they were girls. The materials with which the Arhuaca backpacks are woven are earth colors, a range of browns, beige, gray scale and black. Originally they were made with native natural fibers such as fique and cotton (the latter reserved for the mamos' backpacks, which cannot be marketed). With the arrival of the Spaniards, sheep's wool was introduced and it is currently in shops this material that is marketed.
