Hello and thanks for visiting my shop. Vintage and antique silver and gold treasures straight from my Portobello Market stall in London!

One for the creatives or just those who can stare endlessly at beautiful antiques full of history (like me)! Here we have a stunning Georgian gilt verge fusee watch part.

Watches in Georgian England were an indispensable accessory for the nobility. At the time of scientific enlightenment, they indicated the wearer to be not only of a higher social standing but of an intellectual one also. As such, watches were heavily ornate and highly decorated. Seeing these watch pieces now, and being able to turn them in to wearable accessories is such a pleasure, I hope this piece finds someone who can treasure it as much as it was hundreds of years ago.

Please note, I don't clean my antique and vintage silver pieces so they will retain their natural patina.
