Vallauris. Vintage French Pottery shops Bowl. A.M. Art pottery

Measures approximately 23 cm diameter and 27 cm wide including the handles. 8 cm high

This is an early Vallauris bowl and probably dates to the 1930s.

Beautiful tubelined geometric pattern using green and black colouring on an ochre background.

Also a nice shape with trademark Vallauris rope twist handles.

Condition is not bad but shops it has clearly been used. Crazing and some darkening to the interior base and 3 very tiny glaze nicks to the rim. Nothing major.

The mark is quite feint and hard to make out. There are 2 initials (either A.M or R.M).

Good early 20th century item.
