Large Hammered, Tin-washed Copper Pot, shops Cauldron, Planter, Vintage.

For people who like copper vessels this item would be a great addition.
This 8” D. x 6” H. hand-hammered, tin-washed copper pot with forged iron handle, is vintage—over 20 years old but most likely older—an antique. This kind of a cauldron was used in the past for cooking such things as apple butter. It was used over fire while placed on a three-legged iron stand. Perhaps, this is why the bottom of this shops pot is not flat but rounded. I do not know its country of origin. The shape reminds me of Middle Eastern pots.
The pot is good looking, well-proportioned and in great condition. It would look great as a decorative item and would make a great rustic container for dry flowers or plants.
