Burro Creek Jasper earrings shops with 14k/20gold fill ear wires

Hand cut stone earrings made out of Burro Creek Jasper. Burro creek jasper is a stone unique to a specific local in along Burro Creek in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona (Mojave county).

The stones are adorned with 14k/20 gold filled wires. The earrings are lightweight shops and comfortable to wear.

14k/20 gold filled wire is used in making fine jewelery and is composed of a brass core that is pressure bonded with a layer of 14 Karat gold. I'm 14k/20 goldfill the gold comprises 1/20th of the total weight of metal.

Gold filled metal is used as a less expensive alternative to solid gold but is much more durable than gold plated jewelry. Gold plated jewelry is comprised of about 1% gold and rubs of fairly quickly because it is not pressure bonded like gold fill.
