shops A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY SARCOPHAGUS SHAPE TEA CADDY. This is an original item with 2 tea boxes which would have been for black and green tea, mixed by the butler or master of the house to be brewed by the household staff. Filled with Pot Pouri this would be a fantastic ornament and a great talking piece. A stiking and unusual design with the ebonised cartouches let into the wood. The caddy has no handles or feet, with simple clean lines, the mixing bowl looks to be original and it but retains its original knobs on the compartment lids and original lining. The box measures 30x17x14.5 cm, has a rich wood patina with one small split to the veneer. A lovley box, but unfortunately no key.

All my items come in an as seen condition, most are vintage and will have been handled and used over the years, which may result in blemishes marks and small chips (I will point out damage in the photographs) but if you have any issues with them please contact me for a resolution.
