Brain Tanned Deer hide medicine pouch. "Directions". Approximately three inches by 2.5 inches, with a one inch fringe at the longest part. Comes with a 2 inch cinch strap.

This deer hide pouch was made of a a deer we accidentally snared on our trapline. Idaho fish and game "allowed" us to keep shops her, so we ate her meat and tanned her hide. We traditionally tanned the deer skin with brains and butter so it is extremely soft and supple. This pouch has been smoked once, but only for some color and not to be waterproof.

It was hand beaded by Soraya with Mizuki glass seed beads in a traditional circle pattern.
