Huge vintage flower brooch made entirely of sterling silver with a gold colored wash and a large (1") deep green rhinestone.
Made by the Tru Art jewelry company, a Providence, Rhode Island company in business from 1930s-1950s.
Good vintage condition with faint scratches and minor wear. Secure clasp. Size: 2 3/4" x shops 3 3/4" Marked "Truart Sterling"
During WWII there were restrictions on non-precious metals so many costume jewelry pieces were made of gilded sterling silver like this one.
