Carl-Olaf shops Olsen miniature bottle vase- delightful!

This delightful miniature bottle vase is by Norwegian artist Carl-Olaf Olsen
A gradient of brown cascades from lighter to darker towards the bottom of the pot, and is offset by rich blue mottling across the top. Signed on bottom "Carl Olaf"
Condition is perfect, no chips, cracks or repairs
Dimensions are: Height 2 3/4 in. and Diameter 2 in. (This is a miniature- please note photo of it in my hand)

Olsen shops is a member of the Norwegian Craftsmen guild. He was born in Stavanger, Norway in 1939 and settled in Sandnes in 1963, where his workshop remains to this day.

He has studied ceramics during trips to Finland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Japan, USA and Greece.

Carl Olaf has had his own workshop in Sandnes since 1964. He makes pottery items in stoneware and porcelain, often with a special blue crystal glaze combined with a touch of brown.

His work can be found in fine galleries in New York City as well as across Scandinavia.
