Gorgeous Ornate Frame - Vintage Metal Picture-Surround - Heavy Gold Brass look Ormolu Style Frame with Picture of Man shops with Pince-Nez Glasses

This frame is SO gorgeous...perfect for that one very, very special photo! Or, keep the photo currently in it...a black and white picture of a man somewhat smiling and wearing pince-nez glasses! Note: the current photo is much smaller than the opening and placed in a bit crooked (it is a postcard...printed w/ "Postcard," etc. on reverse, but no handwritten note)...black backer can be seen around the edges).

Heavy frame appears to be ormolu; looks a bit brass-like, but is much too heavy to be brass, I think. Approx. 9 1/4” x 10 1/2” at widest points (outside dims) and 3 7/8" x 5 3/4" (inside dims.).

In good vintage condition, the metal piece that would have allowed it to stand up is missing (there are two holes at the bottom on reverse of frame, so you could glue on an easel or replace the existing backer with one that does have an easel...or just hang this piece on the wall...or, just prop it up, leaning it against some books, as-is! In vintage condition, it does have just a bit of wear to the gold finish here and there, showing a darker toned metal underneath (see close up photos). Comes with glass.
