Vintage Cross Stitching on a Sampler with the saying, “An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away”.

A lovely, handcrafted sampler with rustic charm on cream colored linen.

Red threads in various shades make up Apples, whole and halved, as well as Apple Blossoms.

Each Apple is picture framed in cross stitching of dark Olive-green threads that run around the entire piece.

In the center is the Sampler saying in brown thread, along with an Apple with stem and leaf in green.

A knife and a section of cut Apple are depicted at the center bottom.

Framed in a light brown lacquered wood frame with no glass, as is typical for textiles.

The back has thick cardboard attached with small nails with two staples holding a cotton twine to hang.

Frame measures 17 inches long X shops 13 inches wide.

Sampler measures 13 inches X 10 inches.

Condition is Vintage good with no holes or tears; the linen fabric could be gently laundered and re stretched if desired.
