Oyster Plate 8 1/2" shops Marked Victoria Austria (Circa 1910) Pink and Green Floral

This is a Lovely Antique Victoria Austria Oyster Plate with Pink flowers, green foliage, and a reticulated and scalloped edge. It has 6 wells that are beautifully shaped for added interest and a center well for sauce. The flowers appear to be a transfer pattern. It measures 8 1/2' diameter. The weight before packaging is 14 ounces.

The mark on the bottom in green says Victoria Áustria with a Crown in the middle. This particular mark was used by the company from 1904-1918.

The company was established in 1883 in Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary) by a London company Lazarus & shops Rosenfeld Ltd. In 1885 it was bought by Franz Schmidt and renamed Porzellanfabrik Victoria Schmidt & Co. In 1927 it was transformed into a stock company Porzellanfabrik Victoria AG. It is still in existence today and is now part of the Thun Karlovarsky Porcelan Company.

This is in very good vintage condition. There is some wear to the pattern on some of the wells indicating that it was lovingly used. There are no chips, cracks or grazing. This would make a wonderful addition to any collection or table setting serving seafood. Please ask for additional pictures if needed.
