Japanese Pebble necklace, 23K gold, fine and sterling silver, keumboo, shops garden, waterworn, talisman, charm, PB05

Inspired and shops modelled on pebbles I collected while travelling in Japan, I just had to find a way to recreate the quirky shapes and patterning. The originals were mainly water worn and rolled satisfyingly in my hands. The colours and shapes often varied significantly by garden, park or river we visited. This pebble's inspiration was found in Kanazawa.

This pebble pendant has been enhanced using Keum Boo, a Korean metalsmithing technique in which 23ct gold foil is fused to the fine silver surface to mimic the mottling of the original pebbles.

This pebble pendant has been created from fine silver (99.9% purity), enhanced with gold accents and finished with sterling silver findings and chain. Each has been handcrafted and finished with a satin polish to enhance the colouration and form.

General care
This is a handmade piece of jewellery that is designed for regular wear but not harsh treatment such as immersion in spas and swimming pools, while using harsh chemicals or handling rough materials.
Over time silver will tarnish and this is perfectly normal. We recommend that you store your jewellery in an airtight container to reduce tarnish buildup. Tarnish can easily be removed with a soft toothbrush with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
