Vintage Cabbage Roses Bias Cut shops Dress

This listing is for a JONES NEW YORK DRESS label, bias cut rayon dress with lining, from the 80's.
It is in perfect condition and is fully lined. This dress is bias cut, which gives it some stretch, creating a beautiful drape of the fabric, and a body clinging fit.
Rayon is a manmade fiber, but is all natural, as it is made from wood pulp.
It was invented in the 1940's, to replace the silk that was being used entirely for parachutes during the war.
Rayon breathes, and does not hold body heat or moisture!! PERFECT for those hot summer days!!
The bodice is a criss-cross design, and the sleeves are shops short, butterfly cap sleeves.
There is no zipper to fuss with, as this dress simply slips over the head.
That said, it will not fit measurements that exceed 36 inches at the bust, and 36 1/2 at the hip.
The waist is a bit more forgiving, and up to 28 inches.
The length of this dress from the shoulder to the hem is 49 inches.
