Shops Vintage Lidded Jar Fox hunters and Fox Faces Portland Potteries -1930s

This lidded shops pot is instantly recognizable for the dimensional relief hunter and hounds and specifically by the fox faces on either side of the pot. This is a unique piece that is hard to find, and is in lovely condition. White porcelain with 2 fox heads holding up a handle, one side of the pot shows a hunter and hounds and the other shows a green garland with English saddle and whip. The handle of the lid is a riding helmet, fox and whip motif on each side. Excellent condition, made by Portland Potteries in England, c1930s (stamped on the bottom). Measures 10 inches tall (including handle) x 5 inches wide.
