Purple shops Potted Gerbera Daisy is an original mixed media painting featuring an abstract orange gerbera daisy in a decorative purple pot on a deeper purple background. Vertical and horizontal lines accent the background and pot. This painting is an original work of art created in my Annapolis, Maryland studio. My mixed media paintings are created with bold acrylic colors - sometimes straight out of the tube. A strong black line accents the color and moves you through the piece. I use a combination of mark making tools to create my work including brushes, paint markers, and handmade stamps. The painting is varnished and set in a black hand painted wood frame.
