Madame Alexander Large 18" Jeannie Walker shops Composition Doll ~ Tagged Dress

Layaway available. This beautiful dolly is always a pleasure to find. She is the HTF 1941 Alexander Jeannie Walker doll in the largest version made. She stands 18" tall.
She was made only for one year She is all composition with a jointed body, brown sleep eyes with real lash and painted lower lash. She has a closed small, puckered mouth, rosy chubby pouty cheeks and shops original painted brow and dark eye shadow. She is wearing her original human hair wig that is full and has no bald spots or haircuts. Wig can use a little bit of a re style but otherwise looks fine. This dolly has a unique walking mechanism with pulley and levers. This was Alexander's first walking doll She is Marked Alexander on back. Dolly wears a tagged Madame Alexander dress, and the tag says Jeannie Walker. She also comes with a cost that may be original also. It matches her pink dress. Dolly is marked on her back Alexander along with her patent number.
Overall, she is very nice. but not perfect. Color good. Please use the zoom feature so you can see her well. Has typical crazing from age and time. Her legs look to be repainted and have stable light seam splits. Whomever painted her legs must have stabilized the splits as well. Her walking mechanism does not seem to work. I believe the way she would work is if you moved her arms her head and legs would move. I do not see that happening, but she still displays beautifully in a doll stand. Hard to find her these days in her original clothing. Pink shoes appear to be original too. She is a beautifully dolly with an adorable face, Being sold as is.
