Handmade shops "Maille Bead" necklace, 14kt gold filled chain maille / chainmail and Sterling silver neck wire

A chain maille bead is handcrafted with small 14kt gold filled* rings assembled one at a time. It glides freely onto a semi-rigid Sterling silver neck wire, choker style.
The neck wire is 1.3mm thick and is securely closed with a friction type clasp. It measures approximately 16 inches/40 cm. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like a longer neck wire (18 inches/45 cm).

The chain maille bead measures approximately 1 1/4" (3.5 cm) long and is 3/8" (1 cm) wide.

Gold-filled rings are composed of a solid layer of 14kt gold typically constituting at least 5% of the ring's total weight, mechanically bonded to a base of brass. The thickness of gold is 100 times thicker than gold plating, and will last for many years with proper care of your jewellery.
