Background:
Morgan Silver Dollars were minted by the U.S. Mint from 1878 to 1904 and additionally for one more year in 1921. The coin is named after its designer, George T. Morgan. There are many varieties of this coin and over strikes, making it one of the most highly collected and popular U.S. coins of all time.
