Black Madonna shops

I titled this "Mary as The Black Madonna": Rosa Munde, Res Miranda (spotless rose, most admirable). This is a fine art giclee print of an shops original watercolor by artist Kayla Komito. This is a series (1990s) in which I explored my devotion to the Virgin Mary in her many faces and forms, races and traditional iconography. This painting is one of my favorite and is long gone to a collector. So luckily I have this fine art giclee to offer you. I find it particularly poignant and moving as the Black Lives Matter movement & protests hit the street. A reminder that these icons of the divine feminine transcends our box like ideas & beliefs about race and gender and grace us with the ideas of love, compassion and wisdom.
