Vintage Dietzgen RULING shops PEN 1940's RARE "Gem Union Master Pen" Drafting Drawing Tool

shops For sale is a Dietzgen Gem Union ruling pen in pristine condition. Gem Union pens are made of high-speed steel; both blades and points are made from one solid piece of steel, with a spring blade. The club style ("Iso-Balance") handle is designed to provide a natural balance and comfort over long periods of drawing time. Its tapered contour overcomes the tendency of the pen to slip through the fingers and eliminates the desire to "pinch" the pen. The calibrated thumb screw allows for quick resetting of consistent line thickness. This pen is inscribed "Gem Union Master Pen" at the end and has an unusual double-banded metal detail. It is the top of the Dietzgen Line.
