Vintage Plastic Stylized Swan Brooch with Rhinestone eyes shops Made in Denmark Marked Arn-Art M BDesign

Denmark is famous for it's innovation in plastic items made with distinctive Scandinavian style. This little white plastic swan brooch is stamp with "Made in Denmark" on the back. It is made by Arn Art Denmark designed by Margit Brandt also stamped on the back in M B Design. The plastic color is a white that has a translucency which translates the lightness of a swan into a thing of beauty. In Denmark they celebrate the famous Hans Christian Anderson story of the Ugly Duckling that was really a swan by making miniatures like this to remind us of their famous author. I personally love pieces that tell a story the way this piece does. The size is 2 1/4 " long by 1 1/2" wide. It is also light in weight so could be worn on any shops weight fabric. The rhinestone eye gives it a refined edge.
