1940s Pink shops Gingham

This is a darling day dress from the 1940s! It is made out of a lovely, lightweight pink cotton gingham with an overlaid pattern of black and white roses. The soft v-neck is trimmed in cotton lace through which is woven a velvet ribbon that ties in the front. This dress has a drop-waist silhouette with a zig-zag waistline and a fairly full skirt. The skirt, which is shown here with a crinoline (not included) could be made even more full if desired. The dress closes up the side via metal zipper.

Condition:

Great!
Just a few minor flaws to note

1) there are shops two pinhole-sized rust spots on the edge of the one sleeve.

2) a faint gray stain on the back of the skirt. The dress has been washed so I can't say if it will lift any further.

3) the velvet ribbon surely isn't as malleable and soft as it once was but can always be replaced if desired.
