The Virgin of Belén

Catholic tile mural / mosaic inspired by a wonderful painting by an anonymous painter of the "Cuzco School" (1700-1720).

*** DETAILS ***

This mosaic is available in two different sizes.

The regular one measures about cm 30 x 40
It is composed by 12 (twelve) ceramic tiles. Each tile measures about cm 10 x 10.

All tiles are glued on a wood (MDF) panel (from 4 to 6 mm thickness) and the mosaic is READY TO HANG.


You can also choose a larger version.
It is composed by 12 (twelve) cm 20 x 20 tiles.
Final size of the larger version is cm 80 x cm 60.

All tiles can be glued on a poplar panel (3 mm thickness) and also the larger version can be READY TO HANG.


>>> If you shops prefer, I can send the tiles not glued on the mdf panel, so you will can install it directly on the wall, or wherever you want using a siliconic glue or a specific glue for tiles. <<<

*** IMPORTANT ***
My tiles are suitable for indoor and outdoor. They are water resistant - heat resistant - UV resistant.


*** WORKING PROCESS ***

I start working at your mosaic after purchasing. All my works are made to order.
So your mosaic will be absolutely new and perfect.

The manifacturing process requires at least 3 working days.

I work at each piece / tile with care and attention.

First of all I print an high resolution image on a special pvc sheet.
Then I glue the pvc to the ceramic tiles.
I apply the first two coats of paint (all our glazes and paints are water-based and absolutely eco-friendly).
The day after I bake the tiles at high temperature so as to ensure maximum strenght and durability.
Then I begin the process of vitrification. I apply more layers of a special glaze created and patented by me (always water-based).

I use only brushes. I follow traditional methods. No airbrush or machinery.

All my tiles are very glossy and durable.
