The Vostok factory was opened in November 1941.
In 1957, the production of precision watches K-28 “Vostok”, “Mir”, “Volna”, “Saturn”, “Rubin” with side and central second hands, a lens and shockproof device was mastered. Since 1969, all wrist watches of the factory have been produced under Vostok single brand. In 1962, at the Leipzig International Exhibition, Vostok brand precision watches were awarded a large gold medal. The highly qualified specialists of the Vostok Chistopol plant are also confirmed by the fact that they were the first in the history of industry in the Soviet Union to develop mechanical watches with sensational accuracy of plus or minus 10 seconds / day. In modern quartz models, the average accuracy is only plus or minus 20 seconds / month. It is incredibly difficult to achieve high accuracy rates for mechanical calibers. Currently, the accuracy of the plus or minus 5 seconds / day allows assigning the status of a Chronometer to mechanical models. Such models are certified by the Swiss Institute of Chronometry COSC (Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometers).
The 2809 mechanism was produced from 1957 until the early 70's. It was used in watches Vostok (2809), Volna (2809A), Diamond (2809B). According to many, this is the best caliber of ChEZ.
