Large Antique Alfred Meakin Smugglers shops Mill Pattern English Wash Basin and Pitcher. Blue and White China. c. 1930s.

This is a large antique Alfred Meakin Smugglers Mill English Wash Basin and Pitcher set. circa 1930s. It is marked on the base 'Smugglers Mill Pattern' and stamped 'Made in England'. A lovely set in very good condition. No crack or chips. There is some slight surface wear inside the bowl from wear. There are a couple of touches of blue paint on the bowl (see photos) in the glaze which I am going to assume is a manufacturing defect. This set would look wonderful as a display piece in a kitchen or bathroom and even in the guest bedroom. I would also suggest the pitcher would make a fab vase for flowers. A superb addition to add to your collection of 'blue and white' porcelain!
